Arouty/Pardo Family of Monastir In the book "A Town Called Monastir" on page 203, are some pictures of the "Ozer Dalim" synagogue in Monastir. The picture at the bottom of the page has a plaque showing the dedication. The last two lines show the name Isaac Arouty in Hebrew, identifying him as one of the founders of the congregation. [This is the nephew of my grandfather who was also Isaac Arouty.]

Arouty sometimes appears as also spelled Arout and Aruti. It may be related to the name Aroesty.

Related Sefaradí families include: Bezalel/Semaya.
